English Language InstructionThe American Language Institute (ALI) at CSULB offers English instruction to prepare students of all language abilities for university study. Certain ALI classes can also be used in place of the TOEFL exam to satisfy CSULB admission requirements. ALI students that meet all admission requirements except for English language can be conditionally admitted to the University.Center for International EducationAt CSULB, international students are never without guidance or help. The Center for International Education (CIE) is an on-campus resource for all international students. The CIE is staffed by a group of caring, internationally-minded professionals who will help you throughout your stay at CSULB.
