Intensive English Course Highlights:

• Intensive: 30 lessons of instruction per week. You learn English more quickly and reach your goals faster when you study with ELS Language Centers.
• Over 40 USA locations: Choose the setting, climate and lifestyle you like best. Most ELS Language Centers facilities are located on college and university campuses.

• The Intensive English Course consists of up to twelve levels -- Beginning to Advanced to the Masters Levels. Before classes begin, you are tested to determine your ability to speak, understand and write English. Placement in levels is based on these tests. Each four-week session, you are evaluated for promotion to the next level.
• We offer flexible start dates each session. Start whenever it is convenient for you.

Accreditation

The ELS Language Centers Intensive English Course is accredited by The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET), a national accrediting agency listed by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

Semi-Intensive English Program Highlights:

• Designed for individuals who want maximum learning opportunities in the classroom and more time to explore their surroundings and practice English outside the classroom.
• 20 lessons of instruction per week, with emphasis on communication skills and the practice of everyday English. We offer flexible start dates each session. Start whenever it is convenient for you.
• Twelve levels of instruction from Beginning to Masters
• Maximum class size: 20

Specialized Programs

In addition to the basic 30-lesson-per-week Intensive English Course and the 20-lesson-per-week Semi-Intensive course, ELS Language Centers offers a wide variety of programs for special purposes. These courses include:

TOEFL^® Prep Program

Provides you with the advanced English communication skills you need to both achieve a high score on the iBT TOEFL^® test and succeed in university studies. This program includes 4 hours of general English study and 2 hours of TOEFL preparation in the afternoons.

 

Business English Program

Improves your ability to use English for your career and to increase your knowledge. Our experienced instructors use actual, up-to-date business materials to increase your communication skills in practical business situations. This program includes 4 hours of general English study and 2 hours of business English practice in the afternoons.

ELS Fast Track Program

Fast Track was created for motivated students with Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency levels to meet college admission English requirements in time for Fall and/or Spring semester matriculation. Fast Track students progress through levels quickly, studying in 3-week sessions of 40 hours per week, and save money on housing costs and living expenses.

Super Intensive English Program

The ELS Super Intensive English Program combines highly concentrated, one-to-one instruction with a curriculum specially designed for your needs. Each course is individually designed to your current English level to meet your goals in the length of time you have available for study.

English for Executives

If the Super Intensive English Program is more than you want, choose our English for Executives program. This program is designed for junior and mid-level executives and professionals who want to combine general English study with career-specific communication skills. This Monday through Friday course combines three personalized, one-to-one lessons per day with three daily interactive group lessons in the ELS Intensive English Program. During the time spent in one-to-one instruction your English study is custom-designed to match your particular interests.

Contract Training

ELS provides custom designed courses for groups of executives and professionals from major corporations. These courses focus specifically on English for business, accounting, marketing, engineering, law, nursing and other specialized fields.

Summer Study Vacation Programs

ELS Language Centers' English Study Youth Programs offer safe, fun, activity-filled opportunities for children aged 10 - 18 to learn English, make friends from around the world and experience American culture. Our campus locations are ideal for young students on their first trip away from home, and our teachers and professional Center staff are friendly, qualified and caring.

University Preparation Course

The University Preparation Course is designed as an orientation to the American university system. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to perfect their listening note-taking skills as well as their academic writing skills.
